Antique French Hammered Copper Bed Warmer

Long Cast Iron Handle, Large, late 1800's to very early 1900's

This Fantastic Antique French Copper Bed Warmer is a rare find.

This item is a wonderful piece of French history.

In the late 1800's and very early 1900's, no French home was without either this type of bed warmer or a pottery hot water bottle.

The is hand made of a thick hammered copper and has a heavy hand cast iron handle that would have been made by a blacksmith.

The rivets are copper on the outer side where the handle is attached to the pan.

This is old and has been used, however, is in great condition.

Any discolouration, dings, scratches, or marks are due to age, use, and storage, but add a lot of charm.

Made in France.

The pot is quite heavy.
